A year after blasting off the largest aerial firework shell in history, Fireworks by Grucci has broken two more world records.
The Bellport-based company secured the “Longest straight line of fireworks display” and the “Longest chain of fireworks” records at the 2019 Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve celebration in the United Arab Emirates.
An official adjudicator confirmed the two records for Guinness World Records.
And filmmaker Benny Migliorino of Benny Migs Photo in Patchogue captured it all (photos below; video above).
In creating the record-breaking fireworks show, which was held on Al Marjan Island, around 5,000 hours went into installing the project, according to the Grucci’s creative director, Phil Grucci.
The performance used 11,284 fireworks for the longest chain of fireworks. The straight-line fireworks display used over 250,000 fireworks that spread across more than 8 miles, about a mile longer than the previous world record.
Both records were set in 13:20 minutes.
