The tent is up! Drift 82 is now booking weddings on Patchogue River

Patchogue’s Drift 82 is looking to plant itself firmly within Long Island’s wedding scene.

To do so, they have just erected a permanent, 40×50-foot tent on the Drift 82 property at the mouth of Patchogue River, and are already booking weddings for 2021 and beyond.

The tent is heated, lighted and branded, and has room for 150 guests with a dance floor. The river dock is available for ceremony space, and wedding guests can take over the restaurant or gazebo bar for cocktail hour.

“Drift has everything to offer,” said the riverfront restaurant’s co-owner, John Sarno, “excellent food, great drinks and exceptional service at a fraction of what you would pay at a catering hall.”

There’s also the unobstructed views of the water, which guests can enjoy all evening long. And since this is a restaurant first and foremost, top-notch food is of no concern to brides and grooms.

The tent arrived earlier this month, fashioned specifically for Drift 82.

Because it’s heated, the plan is to hold weddings and other special events through New Year’s Eve, and possibly beyond.
