Laughter in the Lobby returns to Patchogue Friday

After a long and hot summer, maybe you could use a laugh.

The folks at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts think they have just to thing for you.

It’s called Laughter in the Lobby. And the season kicks off at 7:30 p.m. this Friday in the theater’s huge lobby off Main Street in Patchogue Village.

There you’ll find the likes of Paul AnthonyJohn Larocchia and national headliner Mick Thomas.

There will also be a special guest, theater organizers said.  Tickets are $10.

A spinoff of the popular Music in the Lobby series, Laughter in the Lobby is entering its second season.

“We are excited to be back for our sophomore year,” said Anthony, whose Long Island Comedy Festival produces the shows. “We’ve put together great new lineups for this season and audiences are going to have a great night with outrageous, top comedians performing right here in Patchogue.”

The theater will be closing Jan. 4. for two months during a $1 million upgrade.
