Burgerology has officially taken over Sneaky Pete’s in Patchogue

|

Burgerology, the restaurant known for its craft burgers and over-the-top milkshakes, is officially opening its newest location in Patchogue after taking over the former Sneaky Pete’s location behind Stereo Garden.

Last month, the restaurant teamed up with Sneaky Pete’s at 11 Railroad Avenue to open a pop-up shop, offering takeout and delivery options. Pete’s opened up in October but had to close mid-March because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Burgerology owner Eddie Galatoulas, who is friends with Sneaky Pete’s owner Gus Berketis, wanted to see how he could help out the struggling restaurant.

That’s when the two landed on the idea of doing a pop-up Burgerology at Sneaky’s.

The idea was a quick hit during the stay-at-home order.

“It did really well during the pop-up,” said manager Craig Foote.

As of Wednesday, June, 24 Sneaky Pete’s officially became Burgerology. This is the burger joint’s fourth location, with other spots in Rockville Centre, Huntington, and Astoria, Queens.

“We have the Burgerology menu, craft and local beers, drinks and sandwiches with indoor and outdoor seating,” added Foote.

But don’t be confused, because the restaurant is working on removing the signs that say its former name. Foote said that new signs have been ordered and are scheduled to hang soon.
