Bellport’s undefeated pro boxer Alex Vargas is looking to finish 2020 with a bang.

The 7-0 (1 KO) fighter signed on for two bouts to finish out the year.

The first comes this Saturday, Oct. 17, at Polk Theatre in Lakeland, Fla., for a four-round match against Ayron Palmer (0-4).

After that, he’ll be heading back to the Sunshine State on Nov. 21 for a six-round battle in Tampa against Elliot Brown (2-17, 2 KOs) at the Bryan Glazer Family JCC Auditorium.

El Toro is trying to make the most of the situation after the coronavirus pandemic put his career on pause for about six months.

Keeping active and winning fights is the only thing on Vargas’ mind now.

“I scheduled two fights back to back before the end of the year to finish up with four fights in 2020,” said Vargas, who recently beat an undefeated combatant in August. “[These fights] will have me ready for what I think will be a huge year for me in 2021.”
