The Blue Point Brewery will be moving its annual Cask Ale Festival to a date later in the year, says the brewery’s co-founder Mark Burford.
Burford announced on Facebook today the plans to move the event thefrom Apil 18 to Nov. 7 due to the concern of coronavirus. The Cask Ale Festival brings in 100-plus breweries and typically draws thousands of festivalgoers.
“The safety and well-being of our employees, attendees, vendors and fellow participating breweries is of highest concern to us,” reads a statement from Burford. “While we have not been affected by local cases, we are sensitive to the global circumstances of COVID-19. We will continue to heed the advice of the CDC and local health departments.”
Currently, ticket sales have been paused but will resume later this year. Check back at GreaterPatchogue later for an update.
