Bellport’s undefeated boxer, Alex “El Toro” Vargas, is readying to face his most experienced fighter yet.
“I’ve been training hard and feel really good with four weeks still left to go,” Vargas told GreaterPatchogue.
The fight will be El Toro’s second career six-round bout — his first four matches were four rounds.
“I liked having six rounds because it lets me figure out my opponent,” said Vargas.
The 24-year-old southpaw impressed in most recent fight, a six-round fight, winning by unanimous decision in November.
While Vargas is prepping to continue his perfect record, he isn’t looking past his next foe.
“He fought a lot of good fighters, a few guys that went on to become world champs,” said Vargas on Sanchez Hernandez.
