The Best Market supermarket in East Patchogue’s Swan Commons shopping center will be closing its doors Jan. 23.

Then work turning the store into a Lidl grocery store begins.

The German-based discount grocer bought out Best Market chain in November 2016. The island’s first two Lidl locations opened in December in West Babylon and Center Moriches.

According to Lidl’s website, the East Patchogue location, as well as stores in Oakdale and Huntington, are expected to open by summer.

Lidl features an assortment of grocery items from eggs, produce, deli items and freshly baked goods, which are baked every day on premises.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce you to the diligent teams who are bringing you a new way to save,” the company wrote on Facebook.
