The restaurant is virtual. The food is very real.

Crispy’s Wings & Fries is now delivering chicken and more, GreaterPatchogue has learned.

The virtual restaurant is being run by the team at Local Burger Co. on West Main Street. The restaurant has a 1,000-square-foot kitchen.

Crispy’s, believed to be the area’s first virtual restaurant, went live on Tuesday. Chicken wings and more are now available for delivery through Doordash.

Delivery hours run from 11:30 to 9 p.m. on weekdays and Sundays, and 11:30 am. to 11:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

“We didn’t want to open something that was just OK; we needed to make it the best,” said Local Burger co-owner Alyssa DiGirolomo. “We’re saying we’re the ‘King of the Wing,’ and we are. We are giving you a good product here. It’s going to be some of the best chicken wings you’ve ever had.”

Wings from 10 ($10.99) to 100 ($97.99) are available in 15 different sauces. There’s also two different styles: breaded or seasoned, with boneless options for both.

“All our sauces are homemade, and made with love,” she said. “People love chicken wings, they have a passion for wings, and so do we.”

The Liquid Gold (Carolina mustard sauce), Nashville Hot (spicy dry rub) and Hot Honey Henny BBQ (Frankie’s favorite) are expected to be among the virtual restaurant’s top sellers.

“These aren’t your regular bar wings,” Chef Frank Poe tells us. “A lot of thought goes into the whole process of making seasonings, the house-made sauces. It’s something that we care about. It’s something that I’m passionate about.”

There’s also a choice of six sides that include Hot Fries, Buffalo Mac-N-Cheese, and Crispy Brussels Sprouts, to name just three. And, there’s fried apple pies and milkshakes. Click here for the full menu.
