Add another win to Alex Vargas’ unscathed professional record.

The Bellport boxer improves to 5-0 after defeating fellow southpaw fighter Dashaun Johns (2-0, 1 KO) by unanimous decision on Saturday night at The Paramount of Huntington.

The match was part of the Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing “Rockin’ Fights” 37.

The 24-year-old said this has been one of the best fighters he’s faced so far in his pro career.

“This was a step-up fight,” he said. “He won a national championship as an amateur, a Golden Gloves finalist — he was no joke.”

It was all his first six-round bout of Vargas’ pro career.

“I trained with the best in the world and we worked really hard to prepare for this fight,” Vargas told GreaterPatchogue following the win.
