The strip of East Main Street that just got repaved in downtown Patchogue is getting striped and marked this week, with three to four nights of closures planned.

The road will be closed from Ocean to Rider avenues from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Monday night, May 20, and going to Wednesday night.

“And Thursday night too if it rains on one of those days,” said Patchogue’s public works superintendent, Joseph Dean.

All of the marking is being done in thermoplastic, he said, and that includes the striping, parking stalls and numbers.

The roadway was milled and repaved last week.

The designer crosswalk between Patchogue-Medford Library and Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts has not been touched during the construction, as it was repaved when it was installed in 2015.
