The Gateway this week announced that a special 7 p.m. showing of Beauty and the Beast in Patchogue is going to be affordable to all.
The nonprofit is offering an unprecedented “pay what you can” ticket deal for the Dec. 23 evening show at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on East Main Street.
“We believe that everyone should have access to outstanding theatrical performances,” said Scot Allan, a Gateway spokesperson. “This is an opportunity for members of our community to attend Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at a comfortable price.”
Beauty and the Beast tickets normally run from $29.50 to $89 per.
Here’s how it works: Pay-what-you-can tickets will be available with cash only at the box office in Patchogue on Dec. 23 only, and between at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
“We intend for this show to be appreciated by everyone and this one night special allows people and all their friends and family to enjoy this enchanting Disney classic beloved by so many,” Allan added.
