How does a $50 gift card to every restaurant in Patchogue sound to you?

That’s at least $1,500 in free food.

And it’s real.

The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce will be giving away two gift baskets stuffed with $50 gift cards for the second installment of the “30 Days of Dining” in Patchogue raffle contest.

The two winners will be announced Jan. 1.

Like last year, proceeds from the contest will help fund the Midnight on Main St. New Year’s Eve ball-dropping countdown and fireworks display, which happens at 9 p.m. on Dec. 31.

“Last year the gift cards were for $25,” said David Kennedy, the chamber’s executive director. “Now it’s much more money to win and spend in our wonderful restaurants downtown.”

He says “at least” 30 restaurants will be participating.

“We haven’t gotten a ‘no’ from any of the restaurants,” he added.

Raffle tickets are $20 and are available in all the restaurants in and around the downtown.

If people can’t find tickets, they’re encouraged to contact the chamber office at info@patchogue.com or by calling 631-207-1000. Tickets will be at the office at 15 North Ocean Avenue.
