Patchogue has a new restaurant in which to indulge, especially on late weekend nights.

Fry Daddy’s, a longtime food truck that sells various deep fried dishes and French fry platters, went brick-and-mortar at 58 South Ocean Avenue, across from James Joyce Irish pub.

On Saturday, Fry Daddy’s owners Sean Abrams and Trish Barner held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate their venture in the village.

“I have gotten nothing but support since I started this,” said Adams, who has operated his food truck at Alive After Five for the last seven years.

“It is that experience of seeing what is going on in this town over the years that inspired him to open a store here,” said David Kennedy, the executive director of the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce. “Thank you so much for coming to Patchogue.”

The space is 1,200 square feet and seats 26, including six at the front window stools. The menu items will also include popular deep-fried staples such as Oreos and Twinkies, as well as burgers with meat delivered daily from Chubb’s in Medford.

There’s also turkey and veggie burgers, even chopped salads for the more health conscious.

Fry Daddy’s will be open until around 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights with a menu that will also include some deep-fried and traditional breakfast dishes.
