Patchogue’s Christmas parade is being postponed again due to a conflict with the Medford parade and family fun night already planned for Saturday, Dec. 1.

The date of the Patchogue parade is to be determined.

Expected downpours cancelled Patchogue’s parade down Main Street, which had been scheduled for Saturday night, Nov. 24.

Patchogue’s Department of Parks and Recreation runs the Patchogue parade.

The Medford Chamber of Commerce runs the parade in Medford.

About the Medford parade

The Medford parade starts at 4:30 p.m. at the Tremont Elementary School and heads north up Route 112 to Medford Memorial Park, where the chamber is hosting a family fun night with an outdoor Christmas movie, free hot chocolate and cookies, live entertainment, free crafts, free letters to Santa with family photographs with Santa, and much more.

Thomas Donovan will be leading the parade with his bag pipes and the grand marshal — the “famous” Luigi from Tony’s Pizza. Elegant Dance Studio dancers will be performing at the park with everyone singing Christmas carols as the Christmas tree is lit.

Look for the Medford chamber’s parade preview commercial on their Facebook page.
