Patchogue was once known as the largest shopping center in Suffolk County.
Despite a downturn in brick-and-mortar retail across the U.S., the village has retained shops that date to the 1950s, even a century ago.
Now, the Patchogue Business Improvement District, Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Patchogue want everyone to know:
Patchogue is open for business.
And the retail environment is experiencing a renaissance.
In the past three years, over a dozen new retailers have opened up in Patchogue.
