Turn off your record player and go hear some real jazz at The Loading Dock in Patchogue Village.

If you’re still not familiar, The Loading Dock is a series of speakeasy-style backstage parties being held on select Thursdays at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite at $20. Patrons enter through the backdoor. Then it’s a cash bar inside, with beer and wine available. (They’re working on a full liquor license.)

The party starts at 8 p.m.

This latest installment features tenor saxophonist Harry Allen, Grammy nominated pianist & vocalist Judy Carmichael, and jazz pianist John di Martino.

They will perform together or “an evening of jazz music from the Great American Songbook and Harry and Judy’s originals from their recently released CD, Can You Love Once More Judy and Harry play Carmichael and Allen,” according to the event description.

The Loading Dock is being billed as a new venue for emerging musicians and comedians in Patchogue. It’s first night was in late March. Scroll down for prior coverage.
