From the DOT:

Motorists should expect lane closures tonight — Thursday, April 19 — on State Route 27 (Sunrise Highway) at exit 53 (Route 112) in Patchogue.

Lane closures are expected during off-peak overnight hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.  The eastbound left and center lanes will be closed. During the work period, there will also be a short duration full closure of the eastbound lanes.

This single night closure is for sign installation and removal of overhead sign structures.

Portable variable message signs have been placed in the area to advise motorists.

Motorists are reminded to drive carefully through the work zone, obey any speed restrictions that may be in place, and the instructions of the flag persons for their safety and the safety of the highway work crew.

For real-time travel information, motorists should call 511 or visit www.511NY.org or the mobile site at m.511ny.org, New York State’s official traffic and travel information source.
