This latest selection for GreaterPatchogue’s Around Town photography series comes from loyal reader Laura Ann, a local teacher and nature photographer.
It was taken at sunset, around 7:11 p.m., on March 26, from the banks of Patchogue Lake.
“I love the picture because the lake and swan creates tranquility as the sun goes down,” Ann tells us.
She also captured a second beautiful image, below, of two mute swans.
“These two were together,” said Ann. “But I only got one in front of sunset.”
“But the other was near!”
Just off camera.
