Photographer Douglas Kelley of Medford shared this photo with GreaterPatchogue via Twitter. It’s a shot of the Village Community Garden in Patchogue at 7:24 p.m. on May 13, well into a rain-soaked Saturday on Long Island.
The photograph was taken in the middle of a downpour, Kelley tells us.
The garden itself is located at Terry Street and South Ocean Avenue.
“I really like this garden for all the lines, which helps focus your attention on the subject at the end of the lines,” he said. “I’m always looking for ways to capture the essence of this garden, because within the garden there is so much to see.”
