There are 16 different events — both indoor and outdoor, during the day and at night — planned for this weekend in the Greater Patchogue coverage area.
On Friday night there’s a Laughter in the Lobby comedy lineup at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. This is the first night of comedy since the $1 million theater renovations.
There, the Golden Eagles will sponsor free giveaways, like popcorn, cotton candy, tattoos and offer fun activities for kids, including a bounce house and photos with the St. Joe’s mascot, Hot Wyngz.
To kick things off, the women’s softball team will play Old Westbury. The men’s tennis team will take on Sarah Lawrence College.
“We want to welcome the Patchogue community to our outdoor field complex, to view our facility and enjoy our Golden Eagles’ games and matches,” said Melissa Kuehnle, a St. Joseph’s spokeswoman.
The festivities start at noon and run through 4 p.m. at 246 Sunrise Highway, South Service Road.
And talk about a relaxing Sunday afternoon on Main Street in Patchogue Village. You can start with an artist reception at noon at Roast Coffee & Tea Trading Company, then head for Spring Afternoon Tea at Queen City Cupcakes at 3 p.m.
On your way home, maybe swing by the Patchogue Community Garden’s membership drive.
Experience the most energetic salsa and hip-hop play this year! The Boys & Girls Club of the Bellport Area is sponsoring performances of the production Viva Africa at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are on sale now for $10 each, and group rates are available.
Or, check out the entertainment lineup for Friday and Saturday at the nearby Painters’ Restaurant in Brookhaven.
There’s one item on our calendar in Bayport this weekend, an artist reception at Pheonix Art Studio & Gallery.
The 3:30 to 7 p.m. show will feature an eclectic mixed media of photography, painting and sculptures featuring Antonio Broccoli Porto, Gabriella Tolin, Derrick Prendergast, & Micheal Smith.
Don’t forget to visit our always-packed calendar early and often each week!
